We're here to help.

Your data is yours

Griplog stores all your climbing data locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. If you have iCloud enabled, it syncs privately across your devices via CloudKit. We never see your data, and there are no accounts to manage.

Common questions

My data isn't syncing across devices

Griplog uses iCloud to sync. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices, and that iCloud Drive is enabled in Settings → Your Name → iCloud. It can take a few minutes for changes to propagate.

How do I back up my logbook?

Your data is automatically backed up as part of your iCloud backup. You can also export individual entries from within the app. As long as iCloud Backup is enabled, your logbook is safe.

I accidentally deleted a route or session

Deleted items are removed immediately. If you have an iCloud backup from before the deletion, you can restore your device from that backup to recover the data.

The app crashed or something looks broken

Try force-quitting the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, a fresh install (after ensuring your data is backed up via iCloud) often resolves it. If you're still stuck, reach out — we want to know.
